Use the "two foot" rule.  Smile and talk to anyone within 2 feet of you!   Everone is  a prospective member!

Review your goals.  Goals are significant. Eventually, your subconscious mind will take over and influence all aspects of your life.  Force yourself to "plan your work and work your plan" daily.

Familiarize yourself with other products in various NEWAYS lines.   If you have chosen to work specifically with the Skin Care products or the Body Contouring System, gain all the useful information you can on that specific system.  Then develop product knowledge in other systems as well.

If you have not been building retail sales it is not too early in your career to start thinking seriously about product impact upon people's needs.   With NEWAYS systems, you can be very successful building a strong, consistent retail clientele.   Many of these patrons will soon become a part of your growing network.

  1. Learn and use the Retail Customer Record forms. (See "Retailing" section.)
  2. Many people today are interested in good physical condition, personal beauty, attractive appearance and responsive hair care.   Virtually all NEWAYS product systems will be useful to the people with whom you come into daily contact.  Don't hesitate to strike up a conversation share your products with a growing retail clientele.   Take pride in the quality of your NEWAYS products and the fact that you can share them with others to your mutual advantage.  There are many NEWAYS products everyone can use everyday.

What is particularly nice about these retail sales is the fact that through their established needs the customers buying your products are your most likely candidates for becoming some of your best Distributors.  Let them see what you have to offer.   Teach them how to use the systems properly.

  1. By building a large retail following, your Personal Purchase Volume mushrooms while you are building a strong Mutual Support organization.  The more people you introduce to NEWAYS products the more opportunities you will be creating for Distributor organizations in the future.
  2. Stable, renewable orders each month provide immediate sources of income so you can start building your Qualified Executives Network.  You want those people to want the marketing program as well.

Review the information on audio/visual support materials in your NEWAYS Distributor Kit and online.

  1. Start planning your audio and video cassette pass-out-distribution strategy.   Outline your goals.  Identify the people you want to target for specific systems then follow through on each one daily.
  2. Be sure you have a large supply of the audios and handout material on hand at all times, especially the corporate video, "Mission Possible" which addresses the harmful effects of certain ingredients, or the new "Cancer In Your Home" video which features Tom Mower on CBS discussing why NEWAYS is different from the rest.
Keep up the 10 phone call minimum per day.
  1. It is easy to get in touch with a few people each day.  It is much more difficult to make a solid connection with a minimum of 10.  As was mentioned earlier you really need to make as many calls as you can just to come up with 10 good, meaningful contacts.  Send 10 postcards a day to contacts you miss on the telephone.
  2. You must not suppose that because you have dialed 10 separate phone numbers you are going to have 10 qualified leads.  Some calling sessions may not net a single legitimate or positive response.
  3. On the other hand, you could come up with a successful session of positive responses on the first contact.

This would be a good opportunity to alert you to the frustration many people experience when they are just starting out in multi-level marketing.

  1. Because they are so full of enthusiasm over the products or the marketing plan they sometimes lose sight of the fact that not everyone shares that enthusiasm.
  2. In fact, some people can be hostile.  Just remember you are earning a healthy income every time you pick up the phone, talk to a neighbor, speak to a friend.   The law of averages always wins out. Remember to keep records of your activity.    Contact us for ready-made sheets that you can use!
  3. Even if you do poorly, remember that you learn more from your failures than successes.  Keep trying. Each time you will become a little bit better.   Eventually you will be so professional it will be a natural part of you.
