Guardian is a biocidal, disinfectant cleaner. Most disinfectant cleaners, such as the pine-solvent types, have very objectionable odors and, in reality, are extremely poor disinfectants. They do not have high kill rates and do not destroy a broad spectrum of microorganisms. In addition, they require a lengthy contact time to disinfect effectively, so spray and wipe applications are virtually ineffective.
